South Park: Bigger, Longer, and
Uncut is more or less what it says in the title: an extension of a regular
South Park episode. It has the same
humor over an hour and a half rather than just a thirty minute episode. If you are a fan of South Park, then you
would like this movie a lot. Something
different that it does though is that it is a musical. It has many songs throughout the film, which
separates it from most films like it. It
is still a raunchy comedy, but it does it partial through songs which Trey
Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, do in many, but not all, of their
films.
Of the top
ten movie themes, this one would display the battle. The thing about it is that it displays it on
multiple levels. One is obviously the battle
between Kyle’s mom and Terrance and Phillip.
Kyle’s mom wants to kill Terrance and Phillip because they are
corrupting children by teaching them vulgar language. A big plot point is that Kyle’s mom, and many
others in the US, want to stop this by killing Terrance and Phillip. Another battle is between Kyle and his
mom. Kyle always did what his mom told
him, but wants to stand up to her. He eventually
does this but not until the end of the movie.
A third battle, which is clear, is between the US and Canada because they
go to war. I would give this movie a 3
out of 5. If I want to laugh and watch a
movie I don’t have to think about, it would be higher. However, if I was judging this on the overall
greatness of the movie film-making and subject wise, it would be lower. But overall, it is a three out of five.
