As a huge fan of Michael Jackson, I
watched the documentary movie called “Michael Jackson’s This Is It” this week. Basically,
it offers fans and music lovers worldwide an exclusive look at the performer as
he arranged and rehearsed for his concerts that would have taken place in
London.
In most of the footage we see, the
star, like the amazing professionals around him, already knows all his moves
and does them dazzlingly. Nevertheless,
"This Is It" gives us a few glances of Michael Jackson's struggles
during the rehearsal. Never raising his voice, never showing anger, always
soft-spoken to his crew, Michael with his director, Kenny Ortega,
manages the production step by step. He corrects timing, refines cues, and
talks about details of music and dance. Seeing him always from a distance, I regard
him as the instrument of his producing operation.
In conclusion, I give this documentary
a 4.5 out of 5 for the inspiring messages it conveys about the King of Pop. This is it.
