Shindy's List

Schindler's List completely deserves to be among the greatest movies of all time for so many reasons. Lets say this movie was a silent film, and we had no idea what was going on, the cinematography and use of color (or lack thereof) would make this movie one of the greatest alone. The use of black and white gives the person viewing this movie a true sense of what it would have been like to see a videotape of the 1940's. The little girl in the red jacket serves as this constant reminder as to why he is doing what he is doing.
Schindler plays the role of God in the sense that he saves people in need of a savior. I particularly love the scene when he acts like spraying the Jews with water is like torture. He pretends to be a cruel person while actually helping out these people in need. He even yells to get a longer hose to help spray the others. It is such an odd concept to hire people in order to save them, but he makes it work and Liam Neeson nails it. His true character is shown in the ending scene when he looks back on his life and what he has done and only sees what he could have done. Looking at a car or a ring with a particular value. He now sees every object he has as a person he could have saved. Such a brilliant movie. 5 out of 5 peeps.
